Job summary

JD Sweid Foods Ltd. is seeking a Machine Operator to run processing line equipment efficiently, ensuring smooth flow of raw and finished materials between processing areas while complying with production, quality and safety standards.

You will set up equipment, perform preventative maintenance, assist with changeovers, calibrate machinery, and carry out quality checks to guarantee product integrity and adherence to customer specifications while working closely with a team.

Qualifications

• Strong communication both verbally and written.
• Basic math and computer skills.
• Ability to lift up to 25 kg.
• Experience with food safety and HACCP principles.
• Proven attendance and reliability.
• Forklift license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate processing line equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure proper room and equipment setup for production runs using product flows and set sheets/maps.
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Assist with changeovers and teardown, including cleaning and disassembly of machinery.
• Test and calibrate equipment as required.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure product integrity and adherence to specifications.
• Follow procedures and maintain thorough documentation.
• Support team and supervisor with other projects as directed.

Job description

The Machine Operator is responsible for the efficient operation of processing line equipment, ensuring a smooth and consistent flow of raw and finished materials to and from the processing areas while maintaining compliance with all standards, including production, quality and safety.

• Ensure proper room and equipment set up for production run by using Product Flows and Set Sheets/Maps
• Safe and efficient Process Equipment Operation
• Preventative maintenance and trouble shooting including belt repairs, adjustments, greasing and report mechanical issues as required.
• Assist with change over and tear down process, including empty equipment, unload inedible, remove garbage and cardboard and disassemble machinery
• Testing and calibrating equipment as required
• Help ensure product integrity by completing quality checks and knowledge of sensory expectations
• Understand and perform Quality Control based checks on line and on machines to ensure adherence to customer specifications
• Other projects or assignments as directed by supervisor

QUALIFICATIONS:
