Job summary

Lordco Auto Parts is seeking a Purchaser at its Port Coquitlam, BC head office. The role focuses on placing orders, coordinating with suppliers, and ensuring on-time deliveries in a fast-paced environment.

The position requires 3+ years of experience or related post-secondary education, and values interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills with advanced Excel proficiency. A supportive culture and comprehensive benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• Automotive knowledge or experience is an advantage.
• 3+ years of professional experience OR related post secondary education.
• Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with all stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Detail-oriented and disciplined with strong communication skills.
• Time management and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Place and track purchase orders for parts and materials.
• Act as the primary contact between suppliers and internal departments.
• Monitor shipment statuses and ensure timely deliveries.
• Hold vendors accountable for lead times and on-time delivery.
• Process claims for discrepancies or issues with shipments or invoices.
• Prepare and maintain reports on procurement activities and supplier performance.
• Perform other related duties to support procurement and supply chain.
