We are seeking a Procurement Student for our PCL Industrial Management Inc. district, within our Canadian Industrial Division, available for 8 months starting in September 2025. This position will be under the direct supervision of the District Procurement Manager.

As a Procurement Student, depending on your assigned project, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our team by:

  • Sourcing materials, services, and equipment as directed and in accordance with policy and procedures.
  • Identifying and selecting vendors to purchase requisitioned commodities, meeting criteria such as price, quantity, quality, safety, and delivery date.
  • Expediting orders.
  • Shipping and receiving.
  • Maintaining inventory levels and records.
  • Preparing procurement reports and documentation as required.
  • Providing equipment administration support.
  • Practicing PCL safety practices.
  • Assisting in all aspects of procurement and equipment management activities, as is reasonably available.

Qualifications

What you will bring to the role:

  • Currently enrolled in a Supply Chain Management or Operations Management specialization in a post-secondary institution.
  • Candidates must have a strong desire to work in a construction environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain positive working relationships with co-workers.
  • Ability to perform multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
