Job summary

SSR Mining Inc. Seabee Gold Operation is hiring a Purchaser to manage tactical procurement for labor, equipment, materials and services at the Saskatoon site. You will ensure timely purchase orders, delivery follow-up, and stock control to meet end-user needs.

Reporting to Procurement, you will source, negotiate, and coordinate with vendors, while optimizing cost, delivery, and quality in alignment with SSR Mining policies. Collaboration with field teams is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Supply chain, business, commerce or a related field.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience of related purchasing experience.
• Familiarity with SAP purchasing processes.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day actions with supply chain vendors for materials, equipment, or supplies.
• Conduct sourcing and obtain quotations for site needs.
• Process requisitions into purchase orders following sourcing strategy.
• Follow up delivery of issued purchase orders and track back orders to complete delivery.
• Expedite purchase orders, manage delays in lead time and communicate with end users.
• Facilitate supplier payments and resolve invoice issues with AP.
• Identify issues with issued purchase orders and collaborate with the site team to resolve them.
• Review open Purchase Orders and close redundant transactions.
• Aim to improve cost, delivery, and quality in purchasing.
