AtkinsRéalis is hiring a Procurement Specialist to join our growing team. This position can be based out of our Vancouver or Burnaby, British Columbia locations.

Your role within the team:

  1. Work collaboratively with the project team in the development of all procurement project related documentation.
  2. Initiate, issue, and administer purchase orders and contracts through predetermined procedures, ensuring compliance with procurement requirements, policies, and procedures.
  3. Develop Procurement Strategies, Contracting Plans, RFx packages, conformed contract documentation, and other requests.
  4. Prepare purchase recommendations and communicate regularly with clients to secure approvals for purchases in accordance with established procedures.
  5. Place orders and maintain all documents to monitor suppliers' performance and conformance to commercial terms, including preparing formal amendments for approved changes and managing, preparing, issuing, and controlling requests for changes.
  6. Receive and evaluate bids, develop new sources of supply, and inventory forecasts.
  7. Work within both internal and external client systems and processes, including automated workflows and approval chains.

The ideal candidate:

  • Three to five years of practical experience in a similar role and a diploma or degree in a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability in standard procurement procedures and practices, along with knowledge of construction processes for engineering projects.
  • Developed knowledge of procurement processes, systems, techniques, sourcing strategy, supplier management, and contract management.
  • Experience in preparing and issuing reports and relevant documentation, with understanding of contractual Terms and Conditions in conjunction with procurement policies.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); knowledge of ERP systems (SAP, Oracle) is an asset.
  • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Working towards or attaining certification with organizations such as IoSCM, APICS, PMAC, or similar is an asset.

Expected compensation for this role is between Pay Range $75,000 - $100,000 annually. Salaries are determined based on skills, experience, and potential impact, with considerations for internal and external competitiveness.
