Qualifications

Role

Job title: Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities
  • Define and maintain a solid and robust procurement strategy to support operations and program requirements, while generating value for the organization (savings, avoided costs, etc.)
  • Lead the negotiation of CMC Electronics requirements for subcontracts
  • Evaluation of commercial proposals and final selection of the supplier with the teams involved
  • Coordinate the preparation of proposals, including the audit of tenders, and take responsibility for the preparation of terms and conditions, compliance matrices and commercial terms and conditions
  • Ensure performance, compliance with contractual obligations, contract maintenance and liaison with key sub-contractors and strategic suppliers
  • Identify and lead productivity projects to reduce procurement costs, to optimize operational efficiency, improve profitability, and support strategic decision-making
  • Assess and mitigate procurement-related risks, develop contingency plans and alternative sourcing strategies to minimize risk exposure
How to excel in this role
  • Bachelor\'s Degree with specialized study of Business Administration or equivalent
  • Minimum five (5) or more years of related experience in supply chain, sourcing, sub-contracts and contracts administration / management
  • Proven negotiation skills
  • Experience in direct and indirect goods
  • Hands-on MRP knowledge
  • Make or Buy strategy experience
  • Bilingual (French / English). Working in an international marketplace the individual must have strong communication (oral and written), and be fluent in English.
  • Proficient with MS Office software
