Job Description:

Insight Global is looking for a Corporate Procurement Advisor to join a leading agriculture company. This is starting as a 6 month contract (high chance of extension), hybrid 3 days on site Saskatoon or Calgary. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Corporate Procurement. The category of spend managed within this pillar includes consulting and professional services, general services, office supplies, software, and contingent workforce. The Advisor role will be engaged develop and execute plans for procuring services in line with Procurement’s targets. The assignment will provide strategic partnerships to buyers and internal customers.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing and analyzing spend data
  • Extracting, analyzing, and managing spend data from both SAP ECC & Oracle
  • Negotiate with suppliers and develop Contracts with favorable terms and conditions
  • Assess industry & supplier landscape by performing market research and supplier due diligence
  • Analyze RFx supplier proposals and bid evaluation results to make supplier selection recommendations
  • Writing contract executive summaries & securing contract signatures to maintain records up to date
  • Resolving invoicing/payment issues with corporate buyers and suppliers
  • Monitoring and tracking of contract & spend compliance & savings
  • Assist in developing and executing the Corporate spend strategy in line with Procurement objectives
  • Act as a subject matter expert on indirect spend data (goods and services) and S2C/P2P Procurement process

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years relevant industry experience with 3 years’ experience in strategic sourcing and supply chain management
  • Experience in supply chain and procurement, including negotiations, strategy development and implementation, supplier relationships, contract management, forecasting, risk management, rebate allocation, and S2P processes and tools
  • Strategic sourcing experience and capabilities o Commodities spend management o S2C and P2P process
  • Practical experience with, enterprise asset management systems (SAP/Oracle), spend management tools (e.g., Ariba, Analysis & Reports), data management tools, and S2P systems (eProcurement)

Assets:

  • Certifications in disciplines such as Procurement (SCMP/CPSM), Lean / Six Sigma, or Operational Planning
