Job summary

GeoSpectrum Technologies Inc. in Peterborough, Ontario, is seeking a Purchaser & QC Inspector to strengthen procurement and quality inspection processes.

The Purchaser will manage purchasing requests, source quotes, create POs, and optimize supplier service delivery while ensuring alignment with production needs. The QC Inspector will verify conformance to drawings and specifications, maintain inspection records, and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams to resolve issues

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in supply chain, business administration, quality, manufacturing, engineering technology, or a related field.
• 3+ years experience in purchasing in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient experience using Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, SharePoint etc.
• Ability to read and interpret purchase orders, packing slips, drawings, specifications, bills of material, material certificates, and supplier documentation.
• Must be eligible for and maintain Canadian Government Security (Reliability) and Controlled Goods clearances.

Responsibilities

• Purchaser responsibilities include raising Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders, sourcing quotes, creating orders, tracking PO's to ensure timely delivery.
• Coordinate with Receiving and Inventory to identify discrepancies and modify POs as required.
• Follow up with suppliers to meet service levels and resolve issues.
• Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure ongoing support and collaboration.
• Research, source and evaluate new suppliers for standard, recurring products.
• Assist with cost analysis to find efficiencies and potential savings across suppliers.
• Ensure purchasing practices comply with company policies and regulations.
