Job description

Horizon Recruitmentis conducting a search for aProcurement Managerfor our client located in Richmond. Our client is a newly restructured hospitality operation with new ownership. The Procurement manager will oversee purchasing, inventory control, and receiving processes across the business. This is a ground-floor opportunity for someone who enjoys setting up systems, organizing and creating process, and helping teams operate more efficiently. This role will be critical in establishing foundational processes that support Food & Beverage, Facilities and Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead procurement activities across all departments (e.g., food & beverage, engineering, operations)
  • Manage purchasing cycles, coordinate supplier orders, and maintain accurate inventory records
  • Oversee receiving activities; inspect incoming goods and verify accuracy against purchase orders
  • Organize existing storage areas and create processes for inventory tracking and restocking
  • Support department heads by responding to supply needs and recommending cost-effective sourcing options
  • Help establish or improve PO system and purchasing controls in collaboration with Finance
  • Track and report on food cost per guest, inventory value, and vendor spend where appropriate

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in a purchasing, inventory, or supply chain support role
  • Experience in hospitality, foodservice, or facilities procurement preferred
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Comfort with spreadsheets, basic procurement tools, and physical inventory checks
  • Able to work independently and establish systems from scratch
  • Hands-on and adaptable, willing to pitch in where needed

Remuneration:

  • Full-time salaried role: $75,000–$80,000 base salary depending on experience
