Pay Range: $110000 - $130000 / year

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Director of Global Procurement, this role will be an integral part of the corporate procurement team with engagement in many aspects across the organization. It will focus on managing non-product categories, driving innovation and continuous improvement within the procure to pay processes, and support the organization with data analytics and timely project execution.

Primary/Essential Responsibilities and Duties:

Procurement strategy and oversight:

  • Non-product segment focus for oversight and management of all categories (Mobile phones, GPO, office equipment)
  • Support and enhance corporate procurement strategy aligned with business objectives
    • Cost savings initiatives
    • Data analytics
    • Policies / procedures
    • Auditing / reporting / gatekeeper for procurement compliance

Strategic sourcing and management:

  • Establish and maintain strategic partnerships with key suppliers
  • Market analysis of supply chain to optimize service level, pricing
    • Benchmarking of alternatives
  • Manage Master Supplier Agreements and key vendor contracts
  • Manage Supplier KPIs and performance
  • Support local business unit needs
  • Supporting corporate procurement team on various initiatives as needed

Cost control and spend analysis:

  • Monitoring procurement spend / savings
    • Implement data-driven procurement strategies using spend analytics
  • Optimize working capital (reporting and coordination with finance)
  • Oversee supplier programs
  • Identify cost savings opportunities
  • Ensure procure to pay process aligns with corporate SOPs and contractual obligations
  • Manage corporate subcontracting processes
  • Manage procurement audit process and controls in collaboration with other departments (P-card, JDE spend, fuel card programs, subcontracting)

Technology – SharePoint / JDE / Process optimization:

  • Ensure data integrity within procure to pay process
  • Provide user training, troubleshooting and process improvement support for organization
  • Manage JDE inventory needs
  • Partner with IT to enhance systems functionalities
  • Manage and optimize Power BI Dashboards and reporting to drive data-driven decision making
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for JDE Edwards procurement module

Required Skills and Qualifications:
• 5-10 years Procurement experience (within construction, industrial or rail sector preferred)
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Fluent with JD Edwards, Power BI, MS Excel advanced skills
• Negotiating supplier agreements
• Cost control systems
• Analyze procurement data and develop strategic recommendations
• Knowledge of Railroad signals and communications systems an asset
• Expertise in customs and importing processes would be an asset
• Solution-oriented approach
• Team-focused with good collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:
• Primarily works indoors but may occasionally be outdoors on construction sites.
• Frequently sits, stands, walks, reads, writes, and uses a computer keyboard.
• May occasionally be exposed to harsh weather conditions or loud noise.
