Job Description

Procurement Manager

Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire

Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 p/a

Contract: Full-time, on-site

A rapidly growing technology solutions provider is seeking a Procurement Manager to take ownership of all hardware procurement and logistics activity, with a strong focus on adapting purchasing strategies to meet project-specific requirements.

This role is key to ensuring that procurement processes, supplier relationships, and logistics planning are responsive to changing project scopes and timelines, while maintaining commercial efficiency and operational excellence. You will work closely with suppliers, project managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver on-time, cost-effective hardware solutions that support successful project outcomes.

The Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the sourcing, pricing, and purchasing of hardware for proposals and live projects, tailoring procurement plans to specific project needs.
  • Monitor and control hardware budgets to protect profit margins.
  • Identify and deliver cost-saving and value-adding opportunities.
  • Negotiate with suppliers to achieve competitive pricing and favourable commercial terms.
  • Manage the end-to-end procurement process from purchase order to delivery, ensuring alignment with project schedules.
  • Represent procurement during project kick-off meetings, advising on supply chain lead times, risks, and contingencies.
  • Maintain clear communication with stakeholders on progress, potential delays, and risk mitigation plans.
  • Plan and coordinate domestic and international hardware logistics to meet project deadlines.
  • Work with warehouse and inventory teams to ensure smooth stock movement and accurate staging.
  • Escalate supply chain constraints that could impact delivery to senior management.

The Key Requirements:

  • Minimum 1 year in procurement, supply chain, or logistics management ideally within a fast-paced or project-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to adapt purchasing strategies in response to changing project requirements.
  • Strong Excel and data management skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in fast-moving, project-led procurement environments and is ready to take ownership of purchasing operations that directly enable successful project delivery.
