Job summary

Primary Engineering and Construction Corporation is hiring a Procurement Administrator for an 18-month contract in Alberta. You will support procurement, inventory, and material management for utility infrastructure projects, coordinating with procurement, warehouse, and project teams to source and track materials.

The role emphasizes accuracy, vendor liaison, and ERP system usage, with a focus on timely order processing and communication across internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 1–3 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, inventory control, or related roles.
• Experience with ERP and inventory management systems; Acumatica is an asset.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Process receiving docs and packing slips in the inventory system.
• Prepare and issue purchase orders from BOMs, per Procurement Specialist guidance.
• Assist with vendor RFP preparation and evaluation.
• Compare supplier quotations to ensure best value and service.
• Maintain vendor price lists and supplier databases.
• Update inventory and stock IDs in Acumatica.
• Coordinate pick requests and liaise between procurement, inventory, and warehouse.
• Track deliveries and assist expediting; communicate status to stakeholders.
• Support inventory replenishment and generate procurement reports.
• Provide general administrative support to the Procurement Specialist.
