Job description

n! Biomachines, based in Burlington, is focused on the development and production of bioreactors and advanced machinery for cellular agriculture and precision fermentation. Our integrated Research and Development center within the same facility is an Ontario hub for innovation in bioprocess design and optimization, plant-based engineering, food technology, and scaled alternative protein production.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Procurement Coordinator to join our team at N! Biomachines Ltd. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in purchasing and procurement, with a strong background in creating purchase orders (POs), inventory management, working with ERP systems (MS 365 Business Central), and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:
  • Creation and management of purchase orders (POs)
  • Maintain accurate records of all purchasing transactions in the ERP system
  • Monitor and track orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues related to delays or discrepancies
  • Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate prices, and ensure the best possible terms
  • Coordinate with internal departments to understand their purchasing needs and provide appropriate solutions
  • Analyze inventory levels and forecast future needs to prevent stockouts and overstock situations
  • Generate and maintain reports related to purchasing activities, including cost analysis and supplier performance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, laws, and regulations
  • Support inventory management to ensure all physical items are accounted for in the warehouse against the ERP system
  • Manage full cycle of shipping and receiving goods, inventory management, and new vendor identification
Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of experience in a purchasing or procurement role
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field is preferred but not required
  • Experience with creating and managing purchase orders (POs)
  • Familiarity with ERP systems (MS 365 Business Central) is an asset
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills
  • Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
