Job summary

Imperial is seeking a Procurement Contract Manager to support critical operations across Canada by managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving value through procurement strategies. You will work with stakeholders to deliver cost-effective solutions and ensure continuity of supply.

Start date is 2027 with offices across Canada. Calgary, AB is the work location for this role, and a strong emphasis is placed on data-driven decision-making, governance, and cross-functional

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 0–5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, contract management, or a related commercial role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of contracts and supplier relationships that support business operations.

What Role Will You Play In Our Team
Imperial is seeking a Procurement Contract Manager to support critical business operations across Canada by managing supplier relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving value through effective procurement strategies.

In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders, suppliers, and procurement colleagues to deliver cost-effective solutions, ensure continuity of supply, and support business objectives through sound commercial decision-making.

What You Will Do

  • Manage a portfolio of contracts and supplier relationships that support business operations.
  • Lead sourcing activities and contract negotiations to deliver value and mitigate risk.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to understand business needs and develop procurement solutions.

About You
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • 0–5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, supply chain, contract management, or a related commercial role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven recommendations.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and results oriented.

Preferred Qualifications
  • SCMP or similar procurement/supply chain designation.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships would be an asset.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Energy, Mining, Manufacturing, or other industrial sectors.
  • Knowledge of purchase-to-pay processes and contract management practices.
  • Experience supporting capital projects, maintenance, operations, or materials procurement would be an asset.
