Job summary

Imperial Oil is seeking a Procurement Contract Manager Advisor to manage a strategic portfolio of contracts and supplier relationships across Canada. You will develop sourcing strategies, lead commercial negotiations, and optimize supplier performance to deliver value while ensuring continuity of supply.

Based in Canada with opportunities across projects, you will assess risks, drive cost optimization, and partner with business leaders to solve complex commercial challenges.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
  • 5+ years of experience in procurement, supply chain, strategic sourcing, contract management, or a related commercial field.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier relationships.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills, including cost analysis and value optimization.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders, build relationships, and drive results in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

  • Drive value creation through market analysis, benchmarking, and cost optimization.
  • Partner with business leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to identify opportunities and solve complex commercial challenges.
  • Manage supplier relationships to improve cost, quality, delivery, and performance.
  • Identify and implement innovative procurement solutions that enhance business outcomes.
  • Maintain and steward a portfolio of contracts, including amendments, pricing updates, and scope changes.
  • Assess and mitigate commercial, supply, and contractual risks.
  • Support procurement transformation initiatives and promote best practices across the organization.
  • Leverage market intelligence and industry insights to influence category strategies and sourcing decisions.

What Role You Will Play In Our Team

As a Procurement Contract Manager Advisor, you will manage a strategic portfolio of contracts and supplier relationships that support Imperial's operations across Canada or provide advisory procurement support for major capital projects. You will develop and execute sourcing strategies, lead commercial negotiations, optimize supplier performance, and deliver sustainable value while ensuring continuity of supply and minimizing risk.

About You
Basic Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications
  • SCMP, CPSM, CPM, or similar professional designation.
  • Experience in Oil & Gas, Mining, Energy, or other industrial sectors.
  • Experience supporting major capital projects.
  • Materials management or supply chain operations experience.
