Job Description:
- Fully support all site turnaround/outages and emergency activities.
- Responsible for gathering all requirements related to turnaround and effectively planning for smooth, comprehensive execution.
- Negotiate and implement site contracts for Turnaround, including single-source contracts.
- Purchases will include both services and goods and be a mixture of planned and un-planned requests with some requests being extremely critical and urgent and will require a high degree of attention to facilitate ASAP delivery.
- Working with end-users to determine and finalize requirements; RFx activity, negotiation; award, PO creation and issuance, and follow-on activities.
- Pro-actively monitor risks and find quick solutions during the turnaround execution window.
- Efficiently mange contracts, subcontracts, procurement and material management for project from inception to completion.
- Improve productivity and control costs.
- Understand and maintain a high level of service to meet internal customer needs.
- Identify materials purchased for each site and coordinate evaluation and addition of materials to add to price agreements (SAP Outline Agreement).
- Purchasing material as well as expediting the material to ensure it is on-site ready for planned execution dates.
- Working closely with the Business Unit to support future Purchasing needs; demand forecasting, RFI, RFP, and developing procurement strategy.
- Development and execution of a few key contracts: strategy development, market intelligence, supplier landscape assessment, risk assessment, Total Cost of Ownership evaluation, legal engagement, commercial negotiations, bid evaluation, KPI development, and supplier performance reviews.
Job Requirements:
- 10+ years of experience in purchasing, strategic sourcing, strategic procurement, and/or supply chain.
- SPSM Certification.
- Experience at a large industrial site in the petrochemical or oil and gas industry is required.
- High-level SAP / Ariba experience and the ability to learn quickly.
- Experience utilizing Oracle is an asset.
- Strong organizational, time management skills, and attention to detail.
- Results-driven mindset, with developing capabilities in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
