Job summary

CoFoMo Inc. in Montreal, QC seeks a senior procurement leader to drive strategic IT sourcing, risk-aware contracting and AI/automation initiatives.

Lead high‑risk procurements, define strategies for innovation, advise stakeholders on best acquisition approaches, and draft tenders and contracts.

Fluent in French and English, you will guide cross‑Canada teams, monitor market trends, and manage a diverse vendor portfolio to ensure compliance.

Qualifications

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in administration or a relevant discipline.
  • At least ten years of strategic sourcing experience in IT.
  • Minimum five years in public procurement for complex IT projects.
  • At least four years leading procurement files related to AI, automation, or technology innovation solutions.
  • Master the entire complex procurement cycle, including supplier selection, evaluation, negotiation and contract drafting.
  • Know the contractual particularities related to licenses and technological goods and services.
  • Demonstrate expertise in contract management and a thorough understanding of contractual clauses.
  • Exercise strong commercial and contract negotiation skills.
  • Understanding trends in AI, digital innovation, and emerging technologies.
  • Be proficient in Microsoft suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • This position requires fluency in French and English for daily tasks, understanding documentation, and professional communication with customers, suppliers, and colleagues across Canada. French and English language skills are essential, both oral and written.

Responsibilities

  • Define and recommend procurement strategies for artificial intelligence, automation, and technology innovation solutions.
  • Advise stakeholders on the best acquisition approaches while ensuring sound risk management and compliance with regulatory frameworks.
  • Draft and manage contract documents, recommendations and tender documents.
  • Review and structure functional, technical, operational and governance requirements related to artificial intelligence solutions and emerging technologies.
  • Organize and coordinate selection committees, prepare evaluation grids and participate in evaluations when required.
  • Analyze bids, conduct negotiations and recommend the awarding of contracts.
  • Ensure the contractual management of strategic agreements and support stakeholders in meeting contractual obligations.
  • Train stakeholders on procurement, contract management and procurement practices.
  • Conduct market monitoring and recommend strategies for managing the contract portfolio.

The profile you are looking for is as follows:
