Job description

Adecco is currently hiring a full-time, detail-oriented, and strategic Procurement Advisor to manage and optimize our client’s sourcing and purchasing activities in Calgary, AB. In this role, you will bring expertise in procurement best practices, vendor negotiation, and contract management, supporting the organization’s operational and financial goals. This role is key in ensuring high-quality goods and services are obtained at the best possible value.

  • Location: Calgary, AB
  • Shift: Monday to Friday
  • Job Type: Long-term contract | Full-time | 1-year contract with possibility of extension

Responsibilities
  1. Manage the procurement portfolio, participate in meetings to assess demand, evaluate business needs, and identify optimization opportunities
  2. Source, procure, and ensure timely delivery of materials and services
  3. Develop RFQ packages, evaluate bids, lead negotiations, and issue Purchase Orders for materials and services
  4. Oversee the Purchase Order process, including formation, modifications, and close-out activities
  5. Advise stakeholders and support supply chain improvement initiatives
  6. Ensure compliance with SCM policies, processes, and procedures
Qualifications
  1. Minimum 6+ years of relevant professional experience or a combination of related work experience
  2. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Economics, Engineering, or equivalent
  3. Experience in procurement, contract management, and strategic sourcing, including leading sourcing events, negotiations, and supplier performance management
  4. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to achieve results
  5. Strong analytical skills and business acumen with a continuous improvement mindset
  6. Understanding of engineering & construction project processes and roles
  7. Knowledge of contracting, commercial concepts, and negotiation skills
  8. Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills
  9. Advanced verbal and written communication skills
  10. Alignment with company values: safety, respect, excellence, commitment, integrity
  11. Professional designations (SCMP, PMP, Lean, Six Sigma) are preferred
  12. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Livelink, and Tableau
  13. Bilingual in English and French is an asset
  14. Legally eligible to work and reside in Canada
