Job Description

Summary:

Safely manufacture high-quality pharmaceutical products according to established schedules.

Work Shift:

12-hour continental shift

6:30 pm to 6:30 am

Essential Functions:

  • Process and manufacture products in accordance with written processing orders.
  • Prepare manufacturing areas and equipment for the production of pharmaceutical products.
  • Clean processing equipment and rooms in accordance with written Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and established Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Ensure product quality meets the standards of Patheon, our clients, and applicable regulatory agencies including but not limited to the Health Products and Food Branch Inspectorate (HPFBI), U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA), and European Medicines Agency (EMEA).
  • Follow required Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) and GMP requirements.
  • Maintain a safe working environment and report potential hazards.
  • Perform alternating or rotating shift work.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate required.

Experience:

Minimum 1 year experience in pharmaceutical, food, or cosmetic related manufacturing.

Equivalency:

Equivalent combinations of education, training, and relevant work experience may be considered.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to maintain records of activities as instructed, pay close attention to detail, lift up to 40 lbs, work well with limited supervision in a team environment, and possess knowledge of GMP and safety standards. Mechanical aptitude, proficiency in Microsoft Office, and fluency in English are required.

Standards and Expectations:

Follow all EHS policies and procedures, work collaboratively, maintain workspace cleanliness, adhere to GMP and SOPs, focus on continuous improvement, communicate risks proactively, and strive to enhance skills and knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to move about manufacturing/office locations, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and lift/move up to 40 pounds. Visual and manual dexterity required. Use of PPE such as safety glasses, shoes, lab coat, gloves, hair net, beard cover, safety apron, and respirator as needed.
