Job summary

Kenvue is recruiting for a Processing Operator I - Night Shift on a 12-month fixed-term contract in Guelph, Ontario. The role focuses on manufacturing bulk pharmaceutical products, from weighing and dispensing through finishing and liquids, with strict batch documentation in a regulated environment.

The operator will work on night shifts, perform SAP/MES transactions, and maintain up-to-date training records while supporting quality and efficiency targets in a GMP setting.

• Mechanical aptitude is essential.
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and SAP is required.

Responsibilities

• Successfully execute all manufacturing steps for cleaning/sanitation, set-up and manufacturing operations for the assigned work center.
• Process raw materials according to the batch record, cleaning record and SOPs.
• Monitor and record processing parameters and maintain all documentation.
• Perform SAP/MES transactions and ensure data recording in the Plant Cockpit system.
• Maintain training records and adhere to training timelines.
• Understand and control the compression process on Fette and Korsch presses to maintain product quality.

What You Will Do

Under minimal direction, the Processing Operator I performs all responsibilities necessary associated with the manufacturing of bulk pharmaceutical products and the accurate documentation of these activities in a regulated manufacturing environment. The core manufacturing functions include Weigh & Dispense, Granulation, Compression, Finishing (Coating & Printing) and Liquids This is to work on Night Shift and is a 12 month Fixed term contract

Key Responsibilities

• Successfully execute all manufacturing steps associated with cleaning/sanitation, set-up and manufacturing operations associated with the work center the operator has been assigned to.
• Processes raw materials according to the validated process identified on the batch record, cleaning record, and SOPs, and follows all steps/instructions in batch records, cleaning records, and SOPs.
• Monitor and record all processing parameters and maintain all necessary processing and cleaning/sanitation documentation.
• Performs appropriate SAP/MES transactions in accordance with the SOP. Ensures accurate, timely and complete data recording of progress and downtime events in the Plant Cockpit system. Department goal of 95% completion of downtime events.
• Maintains an updated and current training record and adheres to training timelines.
• A Compression Operator running Fette and Korsch presses will face challenges in understanding tablet compression, troubleshooting defects such as weight variation, capping, and sticking, and balancing critical machine settings like compression force, fill depth, and press speed to maintain product quality. They must also develop strong mechanical and problem-solving skills, learn how different formulations behave, follow GMP and documentation requirements accurately, and stay focused during long production runs to identify issues before they impact quality or efficiency. The most successful operators learn not just how to run the press, but how to understand and control the compression process.

Required Qualifications

What we are looking for:

• Minimum of a Grade 12 Education
• Understanding of GMP compliance is required
• Mechanical aptitude is essential
• Proficiency in MS Word, Excel and SAP is required.

Desired Qualifications

• Completion of a post-secondary education
• 2-3 years of experience in a regulated (Food or Pharmaceutical) Manufacturing environment
• Preferred experience in solid dose manufacturing in an OTC or Pharmaceutical Facility.
• Previous mechanical experience or training would be an asset.

What’s In It For You

Annual base salary for new hires in this position ranges:$36.000,00 - $57.730,00

This takes into account a number of factors including work location, the candidate’s skills, experience, education level & other job-related factors.
