The Processing Associate supports the cannabis production process through daily tasks related to drying, trimming, and processing cannabis material. This role involves physically demanding work, following strict sanitation standards, and requires flexibility to adapt to changing production needs.

Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM

Wage: $19.58/hour

YOU WILL:

Participate in large-scale tasks, including plant cutting, stem hanging, and transporting dried cannabis for further processing.

Operate and manually feed cannabis into bucking and automated trimming machines. Perform quick and efficient manual trimming as needed.

Follow the weekly production schedule to meet harvest and processing timelines.

Move pre- and post-processed cannabis between production environments safely and efficiently.

Maintain a high standard of cleanliness for all tools, equipment, production rooms, and grow rooms, particularly after harvest and processing. Execute pest management protocols and follow all SOPs and GMP standards.

Complete all required documentation with accuracy, ensuring compliance with Health Canada standards. Communicate any issues to management promptly.

Provide support to other departments, such as Cultivation and Packaging, as needed.

WHAT YOU BRING:

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a fast-paced production or processing role, ideally in a manufacturing environment.

Strong sense of accountability, proactive behavior, and keen attention to detail.

WORK CONDITIONS:

Greenhouse and manufacturing setting with exposure to heat, light, humidity, and varying temperatures.

High-decibel noise from equipment; PPE, including hearing protection, must be worn for extended periods.

Significant exposure to wet and dry cannabis plant material; ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs, and withstand prolonged standing, bending, and physically demanding tasks.

Not suitable for individuals with allergies to plant material or conditions aggravated by pollen exposure.
