Job summary

A manufacturing company in Drummondville seeks a process technician to monitor and optimize rubber transformation processes. The ideal candidate will have a DEC in mechanical engineering and 3+ years of experience. Job includes maintaining quality and participating in training operators. Qualifications

Job description

As a process technician, you'll have the opportunity to learn more about manufacturing processes to create unique products. Your main role? Monitor the performance of our rubber transformation processes and inspect our products, all in order to meet our customers' highest quality standards.

In this position, you will have the opportunity to :

  • Monitor the performance of rubber transformation processes
  • Develop and update manufacturing recipes
  • Inspect and measure production and development tracks and raw materials
  • Participate in process optimization to help meet quality and productivity targets
  • Issue and analyze non-conformance reports (NCRs)Act as a key person in the management of production failures through a systemic approach in the search for root causes
  • Participate in the training of operators on the rubber processing of products
  • Maintain proper documentation of production interventions and process development
  • Manage defective manufactured parts

With the following skills and qualities, you will be successful in this role:

  • DEC in mechanical or industrial engineering, plastics processing OR relevant training/experience
  • Good data analysis and problem-solving skills
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar role
  • Good command of French (spoken and written)
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Rigor in document management
  • Writing skills, verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of blueprint reading, quality control and metrology
  • Knowledge of English and metric units of measurement
  • Able to use a vernier caliper, micrometer and various measuring tools
