You will provide design solutions for process systems, review design documents for nuclear plants, and perform thermal hydraulic evaluations. • Engineering degree from an accredited University in Chemical, Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering or Engineering Science.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in process-system design/analysis, preferably for CANDU nuclear power plants or BWR/PWR markets.
• Experience performing heat balance and thermal hydraulic evaluations.
• Experience in process system design and layout.
• Site experience in construction or commissioning of plant mechanical systems is an asset.
• Experience with nuclear power plants procedures and practices and qualifications for nuclear power plants engineering activities is an asset.
• Working knowledge of CSA B51, ASME Section III, ASME B31.1 codes.
• Knowledge of nuclear Codes and Standards or regulatory guides, including CSA N285.0 is an asset.
• Knowledge of analytical tools such as ANSYS, Mathcad, Flomaster, NUCIRC, CATHENA or similar.
• Excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.

Your role

• Working knowledge of/experience using nuclear Codes and Standards or regulatory guides, including CSA N285.0 is an asset.
• Knowledge of analytical tools used for mechanical and process design (e.g. ANSYS, Mathcad, Flomaster, NUCIRC, CATHENA or similar).
• Must have excellent communication and technical writing skills.
• Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment.
