Job summary

Fluor Canada is seeking a senior process engineer to provide engineering and technical support for moderately complex projects, interfacing with discipline engineers and coordinating work in Vancouver. Responsibilities

  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices in all areas of assignments.
  • Assist others on engineering problems and methods.
  • Use advanced techniques, precepts and practices of process work.
  • Represent Process Technology in meetings and conferences related to the execution of the Company's projects.
  • Contribute to planning and coordinating work.
  • May supervise others and/or be responsible for training of junior engineers/specialists.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Job Description

The purpose of this position is to provide engineering and technical support for moderate to complex project assignments and may be the primary interface with Fluor discipline engineers

  • Apply knowledge of engineering principles and practices in all areas of assignments
  • Assist others on engineering problems and methods
  • Use advanced techniques, precepts and practices of the relevant field of process work
  • Represent Process Technology in meetings and conferences related to the execution of the Company's projects
  • Contribute to planning and coordinating work
  • May supervise others and/or be responsible for training of junior engineers/specialists
  • Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
  • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and ten (10) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
  • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
  • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
  • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
