Job Description

The Process Specialist will focus on developing extruder screws and plasticizing units to improve throughput and melt quality, primarily in PET Preform injection molding, with potential involvement in Multilayer or Medical applications.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze relationships between screw designs, process parameters, and part quality through experiments
  • Develop and test new screw designs and processing strategies
  • Translate findings into application guidelines and contribute to the Technology Roadmap
  • Conduct system and customer line audits to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate during FMEA with Product Development teams
  • Develop and optimize processes for new applications and technologies
  • Assess feasibility of special applications
  • Participate in product launch teams as needed
Qualifications
  • Mechanical or Chemical Engineering degree, preferably at Master’s or PhD level
  • Deep knowledge of extruder screw design and injection molding
  • Experience with PET processing and preform molding is a plus
  • Willingness to travel internationally (up to 20%) and support customer issues
  • Proficiency in data analysis and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and technical skills
  • IT skills including MS Office and MiniTAB
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are assets

This position can be based in Dudelange, Luxembourg, or Bolton, Canada.
