We’re looking for a Product and Process Development Technician to join our Chocolate Operations team based in the 2777 Kingsway office in Vancouver, BC. This individual will report to the Product and Process Development Manager.

Job Overview: The Product and Process Development Technician supports our Product Development and Production Team in the investigation, analysis, design, and implementation of new and existing products and processes. They enhance operational efficiencies, quality, and minimize waste.

You will have the opportunity to:

  1. Follow recipes to produce high quality samples
  2. Keep product development logs and record data associated with operating equipment
  3. Perform observations and collect data on R&D and production test runs (products/equipment) to enable analysis and identification of improvement opportunities
  4. Document Process Changes and train production staff affected by the change
  5. Operate various lab/production equipment/instruments and perform regular maintenance procedures
  6. Receive, inspect and keep an inventory of R&D ingredients, equipment and tools
  7. Provide feedback and support for continuous improvement of processes and projects

You will be a good fit if you:

  1. Have a Degree with 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  2. Have outstanding attention to detail and can multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines
  3. Thrive in ambiguity and are adaptable, agile, and poised when faced with change
  4. Have excellent communication skills, and the ability to listen and communicate with different audiences
  5. Enjoy collaborating and working with a multi-disciplinary team
