Job Description: Process Plant/Mill Operator, Nunavut

B2Gold is a responsible international senior gold producer headquartered in Vancouver, Canada. Founded in 2007, B2Gold operates gold mines in Mali, Namibia, and the Philippines, with the Goose Project under construction in northern Canada, and various development and exploration projects in Mali, Colombia, and Finland.

Position

Process Plant/Mill Operator I, II, and III. The level offered will depend on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.

Location and Reporting Structure

Reporting to the Supervisor, Mill Operations, this role is based in Nunavut, Canada, on a 3x3 fly-in-fly-out rotation.

Responsibilities
  1. Operate and monitor circuits including Crushing, Grinding, Leaching, Cyanidation, Gravity Concentration, Reagent Mixing, CIP, and Tailings. Adjust process parameters to optimize throughput, recovery, and efficiency.
  2. Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot, and perform adjustments to maintain smooth operations.
  3. Identify, report, and mitigate hazards; implement Lock Out and Tag Out procedures as needed.
  4. Adjust operating conditions for maximum efficiency and continuous improvement.
  5. Collaborate with team members and assist maintenance in identifying mechanical, electrical, and control issues.
  6. Participate in safety meetings, report unsafe conditions, and document production and safety data.
  7. Respond to plant emergencies and abnormal conditions.
  8. Adhere to health, safety, and environmental policies, ensuring compliance with SOPs and regulations.
Desired Competencies and Requirements
  • 3-7 years in mineral processing, preferably in a remote gold plant.
  • 2 years of mill construction experience is an asset.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mineral processing is an asset.
  • Red Seal Certification in Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with industrial equipment and process control systems (e.g., DeltaV).
Compensation and Benefits

Estimated annual earnings range from $100,000 to $130,000 based on 2184 hours, including regular and overtime pay. B2Gold Nunavut offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
