Job description

We are currently seeking a hardworking and safety-focused Labourer to join our team during scheduled plant shutdowns at a remote mine site. This role is essential in supporting the maintenance and operations teams to ensure efficient and safe shutdown execution. The successful candidate will work on a 1 week on / 1 week off rotation, assisting with cleanup, equipment preparation, and general labour duties in the process plant. Responsibilities

  • Support shutdown activities in the process plant, including equipment isolation, cleaning, and maintenance preparation

Perform general labour duties such as shoveling, pressure washing, assisting trades, and moving materials

Adhere to all site safety protocols and ensure proper use of PPE

Work collaboratively with the operations and maintenance teams

Complete daily safety checks and report hazards or unsafe conditions

Follow instructions from the shutdown coordinator and plant supervisors

Qualifications

Previous industrial, construction, or mining labour experience preferred

Physically fit and able to work long shifts in a demanding environment

Strong commitment to safety and teamwork

Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights (training provided if needed)

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test and security clearances
