Job summary

NorthRiver Midstream is seeking a Process Operator to join our team in British Columbia. The role involves safe operation of plant systems, adherence to environmental and safety procedures, and ongoing process improvements.

Required: Grade 12 or technical training, BC 3rd Class Power Engineering Certification, and BC Class 5 driver’s license. Preferred: 1–3 years as a shift operator in oil/gas processing, strong safety focus, and teamwork with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 or equivalent technical training is required.
• 3rd Class Power Engineering Certification valid in BC is required.
• Valid BC Class 5 driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Operate plant systems safely and efficiently across the assigned area.
• Develop and follow safe operating procedures.
• Complete required NorthRiver Midstream training.
• Manage daily operations, including equipment lockout, safety checks, and readings.
• Issue work permits and input equipment failure notifications.
• Troubleshoot equipment/process issues.
• Adhere to environmental permits, spill control, and reporting.
• Communicate process changes and maintain shift logs.
