Job summary

Inland Technologies Canada is seeking a Distillation Equipment Operator to join the glycol recovery team. You will monitor, operate, and maintain glycol processing equipment, ensuring safe, efficient production and accurate reporting.

The role involves physical tasks, climbing, and working at heights, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork. The ideal candidate will have basic computer skills, the ability to read and follow SOPs, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

  • Basic computer skills including Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Ability to read, write and communicate effectively.
  • Able to operate a motorized vehicle in inclement weather.
  • Physically fit to lift and move up to 50 lbs and climb heights.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor glycol processing equipment to ensure optimum production and efficiency.
  • Perform scheduled maintenance on glycol processing equipment per SOPs.
  • Complete daily production reports with accuracy.
  • Carry out necessary repairs and parts replacements promptly as directed.

Our team of trained and seasoned aviation fuel professionals provide customizable programs and solutions, including: Fuel tank farm management, into plane fueling, distribution, inventory control, fuel transportation by air, remote fuel supply, custom-made specialized fuel projects, on-site training and site auditing services.Our employees receive the following, based on eligibility requirements:Insurance - health, dental, life, AD&D and LTDPension plan with employer matchEmployee Assistance ProgramEmployee discountsAdvancement opportunitiesOn the job training$300 referral bonuses - unlimitedPosition Overview:The Distillation Equipment Operator will work as part of a team to provide superior service and stakeholder satisfaction through responsibility for the safe and efficient operation and preservation of equipment utilized for the purpose of tasks related to Glycol Recovery Vehicles and processing, while ensuring the well-being of self and all internal and external stakeholders.Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):• Monitor glycol processing equipment units to assure optimum production and efficiency;• Maintain glycol processing equipment as per Inland’s maintenance manuals and SOP’s in order to perform any and all maintenance functions as directed by management;• Complete and distribute daily glycol processing equipment production reports neatly and accurately;• Perform quality assurance sampling of all production processes at regular intervals during shifts, by using correct sampling protocol as established by Inland SOP’s;• Complete necessary repairs when needed on a timely basis such as; replacing parts, blowers, plumbing new lines and re-plumbing old lines, installing valves, meters, sensors, etc.;Required Skills and Experience:• Basic computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft programs (Outlook, Word and Excel);• Ability to work independently showing good judgement;• Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively;• Ability to interpret documents including safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals;• Ability to safely operate a motorized vehicle in inclement weather;• General mechanical competence and ability to effectively use hand tools;• Ability to maintain a positive and good-natured attitude;• Must be comfortable working at various heights;• Ability to remain calm and perform under pressure and within fixed time constraints;• A valid driver’s license is required for this position.Work Environment:The Distillation Equipment Operator will have a mixture of operational and office duties. While much of the job will be performed in an indoor production facility there will be exposure to moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions, wet and/or humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and may be excessive at time. There will be times when they will be required to work outside of their normal work schedule, so that we may meet the needs of our customers and/or operational requirements.Physical Demands:• It is expected that the candidate be physically fit and able to perform all operational requirements;• Ability to lift, push, and pull objects up to fifty (50) pounds occasionally and twenty (20) pounds regularly;• Must have the ability to climb 15-foot heights for work;• Position involves standing or sitting for extended periods of time as well as bending, kneeling, lifting, climbing, using hands to control tools and feel objects, reaching with hands and arms;• Ability to work in a confined space for extended periods of time;• Work outdoors for long periods when necessary;• Wearing of personal protective equipment when required and full mobility allowing for freedom of movement in high-risk environment;• Must be able to speak clearly and hear efficiently;• Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus;• May be required to move, connect, disconnect hoses and be able to operate industrial valves and perform general labor duties.The Inland Group of Companies offers a variety of opportunities to work in the field of aviation.
