Responsible for managing operations of the FOS Process at the London Facility and leading in EHS&S, food safety, quality, productivity, profitability, and efficiency through strong leadership, effective processes, and continuous improvement. This includes indirect management of all FOS personnel and filling in for the Operations Lead as required.
As a Process Lead – FOS, your responsibilities will include:
- Manage department compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Immediately address safety, health, and environmental incidents or concerns, seeking assistance when needed.
- Verify, document, and follow up on all incident reports within 24 hours.
- Ensure Root Cause Analysis (RCA) is completed on all incidents, with corrective actions communicated to the plant.
- Review JHSC comments and lead improvement opportunities.
- Understand chemical and process safety requirements.
- Ensure proper response and documentation for all first aid incidents.
- Participate in safety walks/audits.
- Ensure personnel and contractors comply with safety standards.
- Manage food safety compliance and GMP policies.
- Coordinate and participate in audits and customer visits.
- Complete RCA’s on quality investigations.
- Ensure completion of MCS inspections and cleaning.
- Maintain HACCP compliance.
- Keep departmental procedures current per ISO standards.
- Monitor inventories to meet customer orders.
- Maximize quality throughput and energy efficiencies.
- Provide vacation relief for Operations Lead.
- Manage departmental spend within budget.
- Minimize waste to wastewater treatment.
- Support Maintenance through planning meetings.
- Monitor process performance, working with maintenance and engineering.
- Lead improvement initiatives to reduce costs and increase efficiency.
- Identify operational streamlining opportunities.
- Meet production and yield targets, including S&OP.
- Develop and track KPIs and standard work.
- Oversee technical development of hourly workforce.
- Foster a team-oriented attitude and performance.
- Ensure compliance training for the workforce.
- Coordinate with HR on workforce management and disciplinary actions.
- Manage long-term shift scheduling.
- Identify high performers and support their development.
- Recognize good performance and ensure training needs are met.
Qualifications:
- Associates or Bachelor’s degree in engineering or sciences (or equivalent experience).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

- Wet Milling experience is a plus.
- Proficient in MS Office and data analysis.
