JOB DESCRIPTION

About the role

We are seeking a Process Improvement Manager to join our growing team as an individual contributor.

The Business Process Improvement Team (BPI) supports belairdirect in achieving its targets by driving change and implementing initiatives that reduce costs, increase efficiency, and enhance the customer and employee experience. We focus on projects that deliver annual savings and foster long-term improvements.

The successful candidate will be key in identifying and executing process improvement initiatives across the organization. This role involves collaborating with diverse teams including operations primes, subject matter experts, and process excellence specialists. Building strong relationships with Operations teams to increase visibility on key initiatives, prioritize projects, ensure alignment, and achieve objectives is also essential.

Locations: Laval, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, St. Johns

Responsibilities:

  1. Identify opportunities for improvement and lead process improvement initiatives from Define to Control phases.
  2. Manage multiple projects by defining scope and goals, selecting appropriate methods and tools, managing resources and risks, and ensuring benefits are delivered on time and within scope.
  3. Recommend efficiency and effectiveness improvements based on data and facts.
  4. Develop and maintain project plans, including deliverables, timelines, and risk assessments.
  5. Lead meetings and prepare presentations on project progress.
  6. Promote and implement best practices in process improvement and change management.
  7. Support operational efficiency targets.
  8. Collaborate with management and business partners.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.
  2. 5+ years of experience in continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
  3. Experience managing change in complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
  4. Ability to identify opportunities, build business cases, and align cross-functionally.
  5. Self-motivated leader with collaboration and influence skills across all organizational levels.
  6. Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
  7. Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  8. Knowledge of process improvement methodologies; Lean Six Sigma Green Belt (Black Belt is an asset).
  9. Proactive, resilient, and adaptable to change.
  10. Quick learner with strategic thinking to challenge the status quo.
  11. Critical thinking and effective application of conclusions.
  12. Experience in Distribution Operations, Processes, Tools, Sales, Customer Service, Planning, or Launch Readiness.
  13. Industry experience in Insurance is an asset.
  14. Authorization to work in Canada; no Canadian work experience required.
  15. Bilingual in English and French is required, especially for candidates in Quebec.
