BWXT Medical is hiring a Process Engineering Eng - 24 month at our production facility in Kanata, ON.

Location: On-site; 447 March Road, Kanata, ON

Job Purpose:

Performs and is responsible for varied engineering, scientific or applied scientific tasks related to the establishment of new company products or projects of significant scope and complexity. Responsible for planning and developing products or projects to meet prescribed objectives. Acts as a technical specialist in the area of competence.

Accountabilities:

• Coordinates project activities by understanding and organizing project objectives, planning activities, identifying resources, and establishing schedules.
• Executes or directs technical activities to ensure project objectives are met, including specifying, analyzing, testing, and interpreting results.
• Contributes as a technical specialist, providing expert assistance and solving complex problems across multiple projects.
• Exercises cost responsibility for projects and works towards achieving product cost objectives.
• Maintains records of calculations, design studies, experiments, tests, and estimates following standard practices.
• Establishes and maintains interdepartmental liaison relating to projects.
• Monitors and reports project progress, providing solutions for reported problems.
• Installs and services company products in the field of expertise as required.
• Performs experiments or tests with outcomes that have a high degree of uncertainty.
• Designs, builds, and tests prototypes of high novelty equipment or processes; conducts failure investigations.
• May perform hands-on production or development work, lead or train staff, and represent the company on committees or panels.
• Performs other related engineering or scientific duties as required.
