If you have been searching for a career-changing opportunity to grow your technical skills, two positions are available (one in Manitoba and one in Alberta) to join a dynamic and expanding team within Jacobs and collaborate with industry-leading experts in Canada.

As a Process Engineer, you will work with our team to deliver ongoing and upcoming projects in the water industry. You will have the chance to learn from experienced technical experts and support municipal and industrial treatment process planning, modeling, and design based on established standards and software.

You will leverage your expertise in process design hydraulics, modeling, water chemistry and quality, physical and biological treatment processes and equipment, and applicable regulations to develop solutions for local, regional, and national treatment challenges. Your responsibilities include developing engineering studies, reports, drawings, specifications, contract documents, proposals, and cost estimates with limited supervision. You will also provide construction and field engineering services as needed during project execution.

You may also manage projects, leading the team through all phases from planning to closeout, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget as per contract requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Environmental, Biosystems, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience
  • Licensed or eligible for licensing as a professional engineer in Alberta or Manitoba
  • At least 5 years of progressive water and wastewater treatment process engineering experience in municipal and industrial projects
  • Understanding of process and mechanical design, and water and wastewater treatment technologies
  • Familiarity with engineering calculations and modeling
  • Experience in delivering design projects
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, able to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to project sites
  • Based in Alberta or Manitoba, or willing to relocate within 2 months

Preferred qualifications

  • 8+ years of treatment process engineering experience
  • 3+ years in a consulting engineering environment
  • Experience with construction-phase services
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary project teams
  • Proficiency with water/wastewater process modeling software

Salary Range: $91,700 - $120,300
