Job summary

TYLin is seeking a Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater to join its Water Sector. You will design municipal servicing systems, including water/wastewater treatment, and grow skills in client interfacing and project management.

You should have a P.Eng and 5-7 years of wastewater experience; mentoring junior staff is expected as part of project delivery and capability building. Toronto-area opportunities may arise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering.
• P.Eng licensure with P.E.O.
• 5-7 years of experience in wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Experience with Master Planning, Class EAs and DWWP and/or ECA process in Ontario or equivalents.

Job Summary

We are seeking a Process Engineer - Water/Wastewater, to join TYLin's Water Sector. In this role, you'll design a variety of municipal servicing projects, both public and private, while growing your skills in client interfacing and project management.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Undertake the design of both public and private sector municipal servicing projects (i.e. sewage pumping stations and water booster stations, elevated tanks, reservoirs, and water/wastewater treatment systems) including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.

• Coordinate the design with review/input from the various municipal/utility/approval agencies/stakeholders and obtain all necessary approvals.

• Liaise with clients, municipalities, and other agencies to secure approvals.

• Assist developing and managing project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.

• Prepare contract documents for construction (i.e. engineering drawings and specifications).

• May conduct construction inspection services and construction administration.

• May provide services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.

• Participate in constructability review.

• Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.

• Mentor recently hired junior team members on the various facets of municipal infrastructure design.

• Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.

• Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with minimum supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Civil engineering.

• P.Eng. licensure with P.E.O.

• 5-7 years of experience in the execution of wastewater infrastructure (sewer pumping stations, booster pumping stations, reservoir and elevated tanks and water and wastewater treatment plants) projects.

• Experience with Master Planning, Class EAs and DWWP and/or ECA process in Ontario considered or equivalent in other Provinces is considered an asset.

• Contract administration experience is considered an asset.

Additional Information
