DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Undertake the design of both public and private sector municipal servicing projects (i.e. sewage pumping stations and water booster stations, elevated tanks, reservoirs, and water/wastewater treatment systems) including engineering drawings, engineering reports, presentations, and required applications to regulatory and/or funding agencies.
Coordinate the design with review/input from the various municipal/utility/approval agencies/stakeholders and obtain all necessary approvals.
Liaise with clients, municipalities, and other agencies to secure approvals.
Assist developing and managing project scope, budget, staffing and schedule.
Prepare contract documents for construction (i.e. engineering drawings and specifications).
May conduct construction inspection services and construction administration.
May provide services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.
Participate in constructability review.
Conduct quality assurance and quality control on projects.
Mentor recently hired junior team members on the various facets of municipal infrastructure design.
Prepare portions of engineering project proposals, change orders, client contact and communication pertaining to specific projects.
Complete tasks accurately and efficiently with minimum supervision.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Chemical Engineering or other related field.
P.Eng. licensure with P.E.O
5-7 years of experience in the execution of wastewater infrastructure (sewer pumping stations, booster pumping stations, reservoir and elevated tanks and water and wastewater treatment plants) projects preferred.
Experience with Master Planning, Class EAs and DWWP and/or ECA process in Ontario considered or equivalent in other Provinces is considered an asset.
Contract administration experience is considered an asset.

TYLin is committed to pay equity. As part of that commitment, we have provided the base compensation range of $78,000 - $103,000 annually for this position and local market.
