Process Engineer - VIE Contract

  • Location: Toronto, Canada
  • Target start date: 01/11/2025

As Process Engineer VIE in our Project Delivery team, you will be responsible for interfacing with stakeholders to support the generation of engineering documents, closing punch list items, preparing training documentation, and handling some administrative activities.

Main responsibilities:

  • Support system owners to ensure process equipment is installed and commissioned as per design requirements. Equipment includes Automated Visual Inspection machines (syringe and vial) for detecting container defects using camera-based systems with inspection software; Filler Isolator with E-beam used to aseptically fill syringes and vials.
  • Troubleshoot equipment with system owners and vendors during installation and commissioning.
  • Assist Digital and Automation teams in setting up accounts and communication with the Automation Control Management System (ACMS).
  • Support in managing timelines for equipment and technical deliverables.
  • Manage commodities required for testing and line trials.
  • Support construction and GMP environment fieldwork, including mechanical completion and start-up.
  • Update and maintain engineering documents and redlines.
  • Prepare vendor turnover packages for archiving.
  • Review C&Q test plans for technical content.
  • Participate in FAT, SAT, and critical test plan execution as required.

About you

Experience:

  • An engineering or technical background is advantageous.

Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office 2010 & 365 (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word) and Adobe Acrobat.
  • Knowledge of visual inspection software basics.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational, attention to detail, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Team-oriented mindset.
  • Strong project management skills, including organization, time management, and follow-up.
  • Full-time onsite work environment.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.

Languages:

  • Fluent in English (written and verbal).
