Your future role

"Take on a new challenge and apply your manufacturing and process engineering expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside motivated and detail-oriented teammates.
You'll play a critical role in defining and optimizing manufacturing processes and equipment for carbody shell production, ensuring alignment with lean manufacturing principles, Alstom industrial policies, and project constraints. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering, Design, and Quality Assurance), collaborate on concurrent engineering activities, and contribute to process improvements and risk mitigation strategies, and much more."

We’ll look to you for:

  • Guaranteeing that industrial requirements align with customer demands and return of experience. ,

  • Ensuring industrial requirements are cascaded, understood, and respected by relevant stakeholders during fitting design activities. ,

  • Verifying consistency and tracking the evolution of digital mock-up decomposition, structure, and storing (PBS, SBS, EBoM) in alignment with industrial strategies. ,

  • Monitoring and validating allocated volumes, interfaces, and attributes of sub-system installations and components in digital mock-ups to meet industrial needs. ,

  • Ensuring dimensional requirements and stack-up analyses align with positioning strategies, datum plans, and manufacturing capabilities. ,

  • Validating supplier and subcontractor quality of inputs and outputs to meet industrial requirements, strategies, and QCD targets. ,

  • Developing macro-processes, assembly sequences, and positioning strategies for fitting manufacturing activities. ,

  • Managing industrial risks using criticality assessments, process FMEAs, ergonomics analysis, and "design for manufacturing" analyses. ,

  • Identifying manufacturing equipment/tooling needs, supporting the introduction of new technologies, and validating associated plans. ,

  • Producing and tracking technical and non-technical industrial documents using various software tools and applying revision tracking processes."

  • Knowledge of industry standards in a railway environment (e.g., health and safety, ergonomics, quality, lean manufacturing). ,

  • Familiarity with industrial processes and analysis tools/methodologies (e.g., FMEA, QRQC, MTM, line balance). ,

  • Excellent communication skills in English and French. ,

  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint) and strong presentation abilities. ,

  • Familiarity with modeling software (e.g., CATIA, AutoCAD). ,

  • Management and leadership skills to motivate counterparts and lead by example. ,

  • Planning and organizational skills to prioritize workloads effectively. ,

  • Flexible and adaptable mindset to respond proactively to unexpected challenges.
