Qualifications

JOB PROFILE:

Develop, implement and improve manufacturing processes for automotive Thermal products. This includes but is not limited to the implementation of automated processes and refinement of current equipment and tooling to maintain and achieve the company Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s). Other necessary Production Engineering skills include project management, improving process controls.

Key Responsibilities

- Champion the design/development and implementation of new processes, revising existing processes, and developing and coordinating the implementation of projects and new launches.

- Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, engineering changes, VA/VE activities, support quality concerns and trouble-shoot production issues on the lines.

- Project management and detailed scheduling for new equipment procurement and other projects.

- Create, update and maintain all Core Tool process documentation (PFMEA’s, process flows, Control Plans).

- Maintain safe working practices and compliance with the provisions of the Occupational Health & Safety Act and Regulations and other governing bodies.

- Identify and validate new technologies available to improve current processes

- Performs product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and improved efficiency

- Performs other duties as required

Key Qualifications/Requirements

- Post secondary Education Diploma/Degree in either Mechanical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering or equivalent required

- Seven (7) years' experience as a Process Engineer within the automotive industry or similar manufacturing industry

- Experience in managing and implementing new Processes (APQP exp.)

- Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Project

- Capable to read and interpret CAD drawings and 2D Product prints

- Proven analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills

- Proven project management skills

- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Must have excellent teambuilding and leadership skills

- Experience with injection moulding, assembly or Brazing processes is an asset.
