Job description

The Process Engineer is involved in customer service, quoting, project management and order entry for new & existing customers. They will need to have the ability to communicate with various stakeholders, be detail orientated and possess strong organizational abilities.

Responsibilities:
– Work closely with the Engineering and Production teams to validate customer product feasibility.
– Send RFQ and work with suppliers to select the best one for the outsourced services.
– Develop technical and price quotations.
– Manage the new program launches – participating in program kick-off meetings, coordinate the prototype development and effectively communicate with the customers.
– Ensure a smooth hand-off from sales cycle to mass production launch, providing all key resources, such as product drawings and specifications.
– Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
– Engineering or Business undergraduate degree or higher
– Experience in the automotive or metal industry
– Familiar with steel manufacturing processes
– Ability to read blueprints
– Understanding of the North American steel standards
– Strong Microsoft Excel skills
– Ability to engage clients, build trust, and develop strong working relationships
– Good organization, time management and attention to detail
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills
