Wood is currently seeking a
Process Engineer for our Eastern Canada Operations team and will be based out of the St. John's, NL office.
The RoleAs a Process Engineer you will provide discipline support, through the application of extensive knowledge of process and chemical engineering design principles, and practices in the performance of all discipline design work across our Eastern Canada business. RESPONSIBILITIES- Ensuring project schedules and client approved budgets are managed and met
- Preparing detailed Cost, Time & Resource estimates based on client supplied work scopes
- Ensure design, analysis and specifications are in accordance with applicable codes, governing statutory regulations, Wood procedures, offshore installation specific design philosophies and meet project objectives and industry best practice
- Liaison with third party contractors and vendors in the specification of equipment
- Operate in a multidiscipline environment to complete large scale projects for our clients
- Adhering to all HSEQ requirements within the Process discipline in accordance with Wood procedures and management systems
- Originating and checking of documentation including but not limited to P&ID's, Cause & Effects, technical specifications, data sheets and reports
- Equipment sizing including PSV's, control valves, pumps, compressors and heat exchangers
- Travelling offshore as required for surveys and construction support

Expected:- Engineering Degree and Professional Engineer registered (or eligible for registration) with the Professional Engineers & Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador
- Relevant Technical diploma from a post-secondary institution will also be considered
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Proficiency in utilization of Process Design software including Aspen Hysys and Flaresim
- Ability to take ownership of an assignment or task
- Strong sense of pride in your work
- Conversant with relevant standards, specifications, rules, and regulations
- Proven team player with strong oral and written communication skills
- Ability to engage directly and positively with customers and build customer relationships
- Must be lawfully eligible to work in Canada without sponsorship from Wood
