Process Engineer

Description

We are looking to add an additional intermediate level process engineer to the team, this person would be focused on Well Pad specific projects.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

1. Work on a variety of heavy oil projects for domestic and international clients. The scope of the projects will vary from FEED studies, modular packages and full turnkey EPFC projects.
2. Acquire in-depth technical expertise in heavy oil processing (well pads).
3. Lead and mentor junior engineers, including delegation, checking, and authentication of professional work products.
4. Become a critical decision maker while working with a multidisciplinary team of engineering and design leads.
5. Develop and build relationships with clients.
6. Gain practical experience by overseeing the fabrication and assembly of your projects.
7. Travel domestically and internationally for startup and commissioning support.
8. Receive mentorship from sr. process engineers, supervisors, and managers to support your technical development and role as a lead process engineer.

MUST HAVES:

1. 4+ years of experience in Process Engineering (SAGD experience is an asset).
2. EPC and/or Fabricator experience.
3. Excellent communications skills required to interact with client and internal team members.
4. Experience working with HYSYS and other engineering software (BR&E ProMax, VMGSim Symmetry, Flarenet).
5. HAZOP Experience.
6. Ability to work on multiple simultaneous small projects and authenticate engineering documents.

Nice To Haves:

1. Experience in sizing process equipment is an asset (separators, treaters, FWKO, heat exchangers, PSVs, flare systems, control valves, pumps, reciprocating, rotary screw, and centrifugal compressors).
2. Experience designing alternative processes in Glycol Dehydration, Sweetening, Mechanical Refrigeration, Oil Processing, Compression, and Water Treating is considered an asset.
3. Newly certified P.Eng or E.I.T who is nearing completion of their designation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
