Job summary

Stantec Consulting International Ltd. is seeking a Process Engineer in Training (EIT) to join our team for projects across the full lifecycle from concept to detailed engineering.

You will engage in ventures ranging from conventional oil and gas to energy transition and mineable oil sands, with a solid foundation in process design. As a Process EIT, you will work under the guidance of a Senior Process Engineer, contributing to simulations, calculations, deliverables, and field support through

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent discipline.
• New graduates through 3 years of experience.
• The candidate must be registered as an EIT with any Canadian jurisdiction and working towards professional licensure.

Responsibilities

• Support process engineering design activities for projects of varying size and phase.
• Develop process simulations, heat and material balances, utility balances, and hydraulic calculations.
• Prepare studies, equipment specifications, performance specifications, and technical evaluations.
• Develop and check PFDs, P&IDs, utility diagrams, and tie-in lists.
• Perform equipment sizing calculations and maintain clear documentation.
• Collaborate with project team members, vendors, construction, commissioning, and clients.
