Chinova Bioworks is seeking applications from qualified candidates for a Process Development Scientist. This position reports to the Head of Product Development.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Work closely with research and development teams to scale up novel natural compound extraction processes.
- Conduct Design of Experiments (DOE) to optimize product yield and purity, and report results to leadership.
- Perform scale-up and scale-down studies to evaluate and select appropriate equipment.
- Develop detailed project plans, including resource allocation, budget estimates, risk assessments, and contingency plans.
- Oversee the installation of new equipment, production lines, and facility improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, maintenance, quality assurance, and research & development, to define project scopes, objectives, and timelines.
- Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Maintain comprehensive laboratory records and adhere to laboratory quality plans, QA/QC measures, and SOPs.
- Work safely and contribute to updating and improving laboratory safety practices.
Knowledge and Skills
- Strong understanding of process development, scale-up methodologies, and extraction techniques.
- Knowledge of scientific approaches, methodologies, and current technological developments in the field.
- Experience designing, organizing, and coordinating scientific research and process optimization projects.
- Ability to conduct data analysis and extrapolate findings to improve processes.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulatory compliance in lab and production environments.
