Spring Point Colony School

Spring Point Colony School, located 39 km west of Fort Macleod and 32 km east of Pincher Creek, is seeking to hire the very best teachers in Alberta!

This contract will commence on August 25, 2025. Spring Point Colony School is a grades 1-9 school with approximately 22 students.

We are seeking a teacher who has:

1. Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta curricula;
2. A strong understanding of outcomes-based assessment practices;
3. Knowledge of current best practices in reading, writing, and mathematics;
4. Willingness to work collaboratively as part of an instructional team;
5. A commitment to building relationships with students to create a safe, caring, and welcoming learning environment;
6. Strong organizational and classroom management skills;
7. Experience with developing multiple assessments such as portfolios and projects, in addition to traditional assessments;
8. A passion for working with ethnically diverse students, including Hutterite Colony students;
9. Ability to support students with diverse academic, behavioral, emotional, and curricular needs;
10. Knowledge of teaching English Language Learners;
11. Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility to obtain one.
