Probationary Full-Time Kindergarten Teacher
Canyon School

Canyon School located in Pincher Creek, Alberta, is seeking to hire the very best teachers in Alberta!

If you are a teacher who believes in creating a supportive learning environment for students and who loves to collaborate and innovate, we are looking for you to join our team.

We are seeking a full-time probationary teacher to teach Division 1. The contract will commence on August 25, 2025.

Qualifications
  • Appropriate educational training and experience teaching the Alberta curricula;
  • A strong understanding of outcomes-based assessment practices;
  • Willingness to work collaboratively as a member of an instructional team;
  • A commitment to building relationships with students to create a safe, caring, and welcoming learning environment;
  • A strong belief in parent involvement and communication, including regular communication with home beyond report cards;
  • Strong organizational and classroom management skills;
  • In-depth knowledge of and experience with current outcomes-based assessment practices and ability to develop multiple assessments such as portfolios and projects, in addition to traditional assessments;
  • A passion for working with an ethnically diverse group of students, including First Nations, Métis, and Inuit students;
  • An ability to ensure success for students with diverse academic, behavioral, emotional, and curricular needs within the classroom setting;
  • Alberta Teaching Certificate or eligibility for same;

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
