We Are Seeking a Teacher Who:
  1. Works diligently to build strong rapport with students to create a safe, caring, and welcoming learning environment;
  2. Can work collaboratively as part of an instructional team, utilizing flexible groupings;
  3. Has knowledge and experience in teaching balanced literacy, with sound reading and writing practices;
  4. Knows how to incorporate numeracy skills across the curriculum;
  5. Possesses a deep understanding of current outcomes-based assessment practices;
  6. Utilizes a variety of pedagogical approaches based on best practices;
  7. Can design innovative, integrated units that develop students' critical thinking skills and 21st-century competencies as outlined in the Ministerial Order for Student Learning;
  8. Integrates fine arts and utilizes technology across the curriculum;
  9. Supports inclusive education by ensuring success for students with diverse academic, behavioral, emotional, and/or cultural needs;
  10. Is a reflective practitioner engaged in ongoing professional learning aligned with the Teacher Quality Standards (TQS);
  11. Possesses strong organizational and classroom management skills.

The successful candidate must hold or be eligible for an Alberta Teaching Certificate. The position begins on August 25, 2025, and ends on June 26, 2026. Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
