Job description

As an Inpatient/Acute Care Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll use evidence-based techniques to transform patients’ lives. Your primary responsibilities include evaluating and treating patients with diagnoses such as stroke, traumatic brain injury, head and neck cancer, and progressive neurological conditions. This role offers the opportunity for interdisciplinary team collaboration to ensure the best and most evidence-based practices for our patients.

Your Responsibilities as a Speech-Language Pathologist

  • Deliver evidence-based, quality care to facilitate patients' return home or to the next level of care
  • Establish timely treatment plans tailored to each patient's specific needs
  • Demonstrate a positive connection with patients, their families, fellow clinicians, and other team members
  • Build and maintain relationships with hospital staff (e.g., physicians, case management, nurses, social workers, dietitians)

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a master's degree program in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association
  • State Licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Clinical Fellows are encouraged to apply
  • Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association

Pay rate: $55/hr
