The Advanced Practice Professional (APP) manages hospitalized patients with coordination and clinical skills. The APP develops comprehensive care plans, reviews and directs care, performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, and coordinates ambulatory management and discharge planning. The APP also participates in educating residents and medical/nursing students.
Manage comprehensive inpatient care, perform rounds, assessments, diagnostics, coordinate discharges, and develop individualized care plans. Demonstrate expertise across age groups, recognize emergencies, and facilitate follow-up care. Engage in teaching, research, and quality improvement initiatives. Document all care accurately and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams. Participate in committee work and community programs. Other duties may be assigned.
Work involves physical strength and stamina, including lifting and moving patients and equipment over 40 pounds.
Work includes close collaboration with staff, irregular hours, and exposure to biohazards, infectious diseases, and other hazards.
