Job summary

AFIMAC is seeking licensed Private Investigators for injunction investigative work related to immediate and upcoming projects throughout the province of Ontario. You will earn $20.00 per hour before overtime, with hotel accommodations provided when required and a $30 per diem when lodging is required.

Contract length ranges from 1 to 120 days. Investigators will be deployed to diverse assignments including labour disruptions, organized protests, and crisis or disaster scenarios.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Ontario Private Investigator license.
• Willing to travel on short notice within Ontario for extended periods (minimum 4 weeks).
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to sit, walk, stand, and/or drive for extended periods.
• Fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
• Canadian resident and legally permitted to work in Canada.
• Experience dealing with confrontational situations and de-escalation with little to no supervision.
• Experience with the court injunction process.
• Excellent report writing skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct injunction-related investigations across Ontario for labour disruptions and protests.
• Document findings with clear, detailed reports for legal proceedings.
• Travel within Ontario for short- to long-term assignments as required.

Required Education, Skills and Qualifications

To be eligible to work for AFIMAC you must meet the following criteria:

• Possess a valid Private Investigator license in the province of Ontario.
• Flexibility and a willingness to travel on short notice within your home province to projects for extended periods of time (minimum 4 week commitment)
• Ability to work 12 hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
• Able to sit, walk, stand, and or drive for extended periods of time
• Able to read, write, and speak English
• Be a Canadian resident and legally entitled to work in Canada
• Previous experience dealing with confrontational situations and having the ability to de-escalate with little to no supervision
• Experience with the court injunction process
• Excellent report writing skills
